Corrections & Error Policy

Last updated: June 2026

Our Commitment to Accuracy

VPMG Property Management is committed to providing accurate, reliable information on our website. We take care to ensure that descriptions of our services, pricing, processes, and policies are correct and up to date. Accurate information is essential for property owners and prospective tenants to make informed decisions, and we take that responsibility seriously.

Despite our best efforts, errors can occur. Laws change, market conditions shift, and information published at one point in time may become outdated. When we become aware of a factual error on our website — whether through our own review or through feedback from a visitor — we are committed to correcting it promptly and transparently.

Types of Errors We Address

This policy covers factual errors on the VPMG website, including:

  • Incorrect statements about our fees, services, or processes
  • Outdated or inaccurate information about Washington State landlord-tenant law, fair housing law, or other legal requirements
  • Incorrect contact information (phone, email, address)
  • Errors in descriptions of service areas or neighborhoods
  • Incorrect citations to third-party data (such as rental market statistics or regulatory bodies)
  • Substantive factual errors in blog posts or resource articles

This policy does not cover differences of opinion, editorial judgments, or content on third-party websites linked from our site. For errors related to Rentvine portal content (listings, lease documents, account data), please contact us directly and we will address the issue within our portal account.

How to Report an Error

If you believe you have found a factual error on our website, we encourage you to let us know. Please provide as much detail as possible so we can locate and investigate the issue efficiently:

  • The URL of the page where the error appears
  • A description of the error (what the page says, and what you believe it should say)
  • If applicable, a source or reference supporting the correction you are suggesting

Error reports can be submitted by:

  • Email: info@vancouverpmg.com (include "Website Error" in the subject line)
  • Phone: (360) 803-2002
  • Mail: VPMG Property Management, 4305 NE Thurston Way, Suite D, Vancouver, WA 98662

Our Review Process

When we receive an error report, we follow a consistent review process:

  1. Acknowledgment — We will acknowledge receipt of your error report within 3 business days.
  2. Investigation — We review the reported content against reliable sources, including current Washington State statutes, our own internal policies and fee schedules, and other authoritative references as applicable.
  3. Decision — We determine whether the reported content is indeed incorrect or misleading, outdated, or simply the product of a different but reasonable interpretation of a complex issue.
  4. Correction — If an error is confirmed, we correct the content on the website promptly. For substantive errors, we update the "Last updated" date on the relevant page.
  5. Response — We will follow up with the person who reported the error to let them know the outcome of our review.

Correction Timelines

We aim to complete our review and, if warranted, publish a correction within the following timeframes:

  • Urgent errors (incorrect emergency contact information, errors in legal requirements that could harm readers) — corrected within 24 hours of confirmation
  • Standard errors (incorrect fee information, outdated service descriptions, factual errors in blog content) — corrected within 5 business days of confirmation
  • Complex issues (errors involving legal interpretation or that require consultation with outside sources) — corrected within 15 business days, with interim notice if needed

Self-Initiated Corrections

In addition to responding to reported errors, VPMG periodically reviews our own website content for accuracy. We review our service descriptions, fee disclosures, and legal policy pages at least annually and update them as needed to reflect current practices and law. Blog posts and resource articles are reviewed on a rolling basis, and older content that has become substantially inaccurate is updated or retired.

Transparency in Corrections

When we correct a substantive factual error, we update the "Last updated" date on the affected page. For significant corrections on blog posts or longer articles — particularly where the original content may have been shared or cited — we may add a brief correction note explaining what was changed and why, so that readers who encountered the original version are aware of the update.

We do not silently alter content in a way that changes its meaning without any indication that a change was made. Transparency in corrections is part of our broader commitment to honest communication.

Limitations

This corrections policy covers content produced and published by VPMG on our own website. We are not responsible for errors on third-party websites, including websites that may have reprinted or linked to our content. We cannot guarantee the accuracy of information on third-party sites or portals, even if they are partners or tools we recommend.
