Purpose of This Page
VPMG Property Management publishes content on this website to help property owners, tenants, and housing seekers in the Vancouver WA area make informed decisions. This page explains the standards we apply to everything we publish — from service descriptions and policy pages to blog posts and resource guides. We want readers to understand how our content is created, what it's based on, and how we handle errors and updates.
What We Publish
The VPMG website contains several categories of content:
- Service pages — Descriptions of our property management services, how they work, and what property owners and tenants can expect
- Policy pages — Formal policies covering tenant criteria, pet policies, maintenance procedures, privacy, fair housing, and legal terms
- Legal and compliance pages — Descriptions of applicable law (such as fair housing statutes) and our compliance with them
- Location pages — Information about the neighborhoods and communities we serve in Clark County
- Blog and resource articles — Educational content about property management, rental market trends, landlord-tenant law, and related topics
Accuracy Standards
We hold ourselves to high standards of factual accuracy across all content we publish. Before any claim goes live on this website, we verify it against reliable sources. Our accuracy standards include:
- Legal references — Any reference to Washington State law, federal law, or regulatory requirements is verified against the current text of the relevant statute, regulation, or official agency guidance. We cite the source where appropriate.
- Market data — Statements about rental market conditions (average rents, vacancy rates, market trends) are based on publicly available data from sources such as the U.S. Census Bureau, USPS, CoStar, or published real estate market reports. We do not state market facts without a factual basis.
- Company information — Information about VPMG's fees, services, credentials, and policies reflects our actual current practices. When practices change, we update the website accordingly.
- Third-party descriptions — When we describe the services, policies, or contact information of third parties (such as HUD, the Washington State Human Rights Commission, or Rentvine), we rely on publicly available information from those organizations and update it when we become aware of changes.
Sourcing
We prioritize primary sources and official publications:
- Washington State statutes (apps.leg.wa.gov) for references to state law
- The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (hud.gov) for federal housing law and fair housing resources
- The Washington State Department of Licensing (dol.wa.gov) for real estate licensing and broker information
- Official government and regulatory agency websites for any regulatory requirements or contact information
When we draw on secondary sources or industry publications, we select sources that are reputable, current, and relevant. We do not accept unsolicited guest posts or sponsored content in blog or resource article formats.
Editorial Independence
VPMG's website content is editorially independent. No advertiser, vendor, or business partner pays to influence what we write or how we describe services and topics. Our recommendations and descriptions reflect our genuine professional views, not paid endorsements. This principle applies to all content, including blog posts that mention products, platforms, or services.
If we ever use an affiliate link or receive compensation related to a mention, we will clearly disclose that relationship in the content. As of this writing, we do not use affiliate links or receive compensation for any mentions on this website.
No Paid Placement in Editorial Content
VPMG does not sell placement in blog posts, resource articles, or editorial content of any kind. We do not publish "sponsored" posts, "advertorial" content, or articles written by third parties in exchange for payment. Content on this website is produced by VPMG or writers working under VPMG's editorial direction, and reflects our own assessments and information.
Third-party services mentioned on this website (such as Rentvine, NW Natural, or regulatory agencies) are mentioned because they are relevant to our clients — not because of any commercial relationship. VPMG does not accept payment from third parties to be mentioned on our website.
Content Review and Updates
Our content review practices are designed to keep published information current and accurate:
- Policy pages and legal compliance content are reviewed at least annually and updated when laws, regulations, or our internal practices change
- Service descriptions are reviewed whenever our service model or pricing changes
- Blog posts and resource articles are reviewed on a rolling basis; older content that has become materially inaccurate is updated or marked as outdated
- All pages display a "Last updated" date so readers can gauge the currency of the information
Corrections
When we discover or are informed of a factual error in published content, we correct it promptly and update the "Last updated" date on the affected page. For significant corrections to blog posts or articles — particularly where the original version may have been shared — we may add a correction note explaining what changed. For detailed information on our error correction process, please see our Corrections & Error Policy.
Transparency in Authorship
Content on this website is produced by VPMG Property Management under the editorial direction of Avenir Gedarevich, Designated Broker. Blog posts and resource articles represent the views and expertise of VPMG as a company. We do not publish anonymous content or attribute content to fictional authors. Where content is informed by outside expertise, we note the source.
